Orange County Quarterly Membership Meeting

March 23, 2005

To All Members:

Our first Quarterly Membership Meeting will be held at the Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport Hotel, (18800 MacArthur Blvd., Irvine, CA 92612. Telephone number: 1-800-HILTONS (1-800-445-8667).

For members planning for accommodations at the hotel, you may call the above 800 number. The Association has reserved a block of 20 rooms for members.

The Quarterly Meeting will convene in the Crystal Ballroom at 9:30 A.M. and conclude at 12 o’clock noon. We plan to have coffee and refreshments available. The Crystal Ballroom will be open at 9:00 A.M. for members who may wish to arrive early.

To assure we have adequate seating for our members, we are asking those of you with email access (and who plan to attend) to confirm your attendance at skemery@telcoretirees.org.

Our Quarterly Meetings are open to all Association members including those in surrounding communities (Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, etc.) We also encourage members attending to invite Pac Bell retired friends and former associates. (Be sure to include them when you confirm your attendance plans.)

Our planned agenda will include a budget review (Robert Hinshaw, Treasurer), membership plans and programs (Jack Land, Vice President), Bylaws highlights (Muriel Wick, Secretary), Quarterly Newsletters/Surveys (Charles Love, Director), I.D. Cards (Richard Reid, Director) and Publicity (Charles Muller, Director).

The President will review all current issues, including telephone concession service, Pacific Telesis Group Pension concerns, current SBC/UHC health care issues, EEOC/Medicare and the National Retirees Legislative Network.

The primary purpose of our Quarterly Meetings is to receive input from all of you. We plan to leave adequate time at the end of our presentations for your comments, concerns and recommendations..
